250 Words: The Ikara Colt incident: 24th August 2002, The Carling Stage, Reading Festival

5 versus 2000: A simple equation, he said, giving incentive for us to pour over the top and join them, take them on and succeed, win back a victory, and as he shouted at them manhandling, and he got more angry, berating them further, it became clear what was to be done, we had to go over the top, to war, it became more clear that what we wanted was right, the clear line of separation should be more blurred, we should be able to meet, greet, drink free booze with them, it became clear we had to dash over the battleground, more reminiscent of a bulldog playing playground where the other end is a sacred goal, it was us versus them, a small form of rebellion, though a worthy form of it, but as people were lifted carried or simply hopped over the top of the barrier to the higher place, with them, it became clear there were more than five, lurking in front and behind with the power over power, cutting them off and throwing them off while dragging others away forcefully, putting down fun and instantly sentencing the perpetrators by taking their voice, in a way it smacked of fascism, ultimately showing how the controllers cannot deal with any form of chaos, even when it is good humoured, just against their rules, questioning their control and so it ended in confusion, everyone hounded off, the internet showed it was still a slight success, drinking through the night.
